Ten years ago, I struggled with a situation typical for lots of women.


For nearly all of my 20s and 30s, I struggled with disordered eating.

But I couldn’t make any of them work. Not for the long-term. 


Maybe the most challenging part was seeing how my weight and eating struggles affected my girls. 


They asked me questions that were arrows-to-the-heart: “Why aren’t you eating with us, Mom?”


And there were times when I pinched the side of my legs, wishing they’d look smaller…


Realizing my girls were watching me and adopting these same attitudes about their bodies…


Then one day, I hit a breaking point…


At age 38, I looked at my reflection in the mirror… 


I knew I wasn’t right…


I saw a woman who was constantly looking for an answer she couldn’t find…

I started by going to the gym regularly. 


But I soon realized that wasn’t enough… 


I wasn’t twenty anymore.

What I ate these days MATTERED.


Then, a life-changing moment happened when I attended a nutrition seminar. 


It may sound small, but it led to an entire mindset shift for me…


The coach told us that eating pizza with chicken could be better than having only an apple. 


WHAM!


All these years, I thought depriving myself was the answer. 


(Pizza had usually been a big “NO” for me.)

This set the wheels in motion to find a better life - both for myself and later other women I wanted to help. 


Not long after, I got certified as a health coach & nutrition coach…


But the solution I arrived at - for myself and my clients - was an evolution.

    MYTH #1: “I’ve failed at many diets in the past. Isn’t that proof I won’t succeed the next time I try to lose weight?”


    No, it’s proof that diets are failing YOU

    Here’s how it works: diets actually slow down your metabolism, making it very difficult to lose weight. 

    With this slower metabolism, the only way you can keep losing weight is to eat less and less.

    So, now you have to eat less AND deprive yourself of your favorite foods?

    Understand that it’s a losing game for EVERYONE, not just you.

    First, most folks overestimate how much willpower they need to eat well consistently.  

    If you’ve done a lot of dieting, you might think eating better means a rigid plan with no wiggle room for your favorite foods.
